#Oblivion dlcs quit working how to
Shame there are no step-by-step instructions from start to finish on how to use these mods. I tried selecting all the normal + patch files, and Obilvion sort-of starts but then vanishes into thin air. When I start Oblivion it lets you choose which files to load. So, I tried unzipping the unofficial patch and DLC patches. Well, little late for that now, isn't it? It should install.Īs of May 2022: I tried Wrye Bash thing, and it came up with a warning not to run it in the program files directory.

Copy and paste the zip file of the Unofficial Patches into Oblivion Mods/Bash Installers. (Along with other games Wyre Bash recognizes). Then you'll find an "Oblivion Mods" folder outside of your Oblivion folder or where ever you told Wyre Bash to put it. Wyre Bash should then ask you if you want to set up installation abilities. Open it and there is a tab in the top left corner that says "installers." Click on that and click in the area where you see a reddish/pinkish square. Assuming you are using Steam purchased Oblivion, once installed, you'll find it in your Oblivion folder under Mopy. Make sure you download the most recent Wyre Bash. If you do not see this, restart Wyre Bash, by quitting and running it again, and go back onto the installers tab and it should now be there.ĩ) Click on the "Unofficial Oblivion Patch", and accept anything that comes up. There should be a tick to the left of the word "enabled" once you've done that.Ĩ) Then the unofficial patch should show up in the white space with a red sqaure to the left of it. If you don't get that pop up, right click on the empty space of the installers tab, and look for the word enabled among the list, and then click on it. If a pop up asks you to enable the installers tab, or something along the lines of that, accept. If you are not, then skip those and you'll be done.Ģ) Go to where Oblivion is located, not the game directory, but where it's located.ģ) Directly below the "Oblivion"" file, should be "Oblivion Mods", click on it.Ĥ)There should now be two files, "Bash Installers" and "Bash Mod Data", click on "Bash Installers".ĥ) Now bring up your unzipped unofficial patch folder, and transfer it onto "Bash Installers".Ħ) Run Wyre Bash (one of the things you downloaded from the video).ħ) Once Wyre Bash is started, click on the installers tab. Once these are done, the following package install order should be followed in most cases:ġ. Make sure you install the right one, as there is one for standard Oblivion and one for Shivering Isles. If you don't, then install the latest official game patch to bring you up to version. Once Shivering Isles is installed you should already be fully patched. If you have a Game of the Year Edition, you likely don't need to do anything else. Install the official DLCs if you have them. For things like texture replacers and patches, this is especially critical since the wrong order will mean the wrong models and textures will be displayed in the game.įirst things first, you need to make sure the game itself is installed with any official DLCs you want.Ģ.
